The Harry and Meghan Netflix documentary is having a really hard time catching on. It took over 30 hours for it to break into the “top 10,” and that’s not good, at all. It’s number one now, but it took a really long time to get there. And I even wonder if that ranking is legit. Trust me, I wouldn’t put it past Netflix to just rank them at #1 to save face. After all, they have a lot of money invested in those two buffoons.
I am a documentary junkie. I watch so many… I will pretty much watch anything that rolls down the pike, and yet, I have zero desire to watch that mess. Why would anybody want to watch two filthy-rich, narcissistic jerks, bellyache about how “hard” life is for them? I don’t have an issue with anyone being wealthy, that’s not the problem. But it’s the tone-deaf rich elites who really irk me. Meghan and Harry have resources that we can’t even dream of, and while money will not buy you happiness, it will buy you a helluva lotta help, if you need it… And not many people have those opportunities, so it’s really exhausting and irritating to listen to these “royals” complain about how hard they’ve had it.
Please, shut up.
And I think a lot of people feel this way because the documentary is struggling to “catch on.” It’s not the “bombshell” everyone thought it would be, and it hasn’t generated the type of interest that everyone expected despite the massive (and I do mean MASSIVE) PR push.
Daily Mail reported that Harry and Meghan have declared ‘all-out war’ on Royal Family with their ‘TV bomb’ Netflix series, the world’s media declared today as the first three parts of the tell-all documentary were released.
Papers across Europe and from America to Australia ran the news on their front pages, saying the series will be ‘explosive’ for the House of Windsor and has ‘the world talking and the royal family bracing for the worst.’
‘There’s no turning back for anyone’, wrote Germany’s Bild newspaper while America’s NBC said Harry and Meghan ‘renewed [their] clash with British Royals’.
But not everyone was impressed, with France’s Le Figaro saying the film is ‘hollow’, ‘meaningless’ and contains ‘no startling revelations’ – except that Harry and Meghan are willing to share everything about themselves despite claiming to want a life away from the media.
‘We expected startling revelations. It is not so,’ the paper’s Madame magazine said, adding that: ‘After watching the first episode, we remain perplexed.’
It continued: ‘At the beginning of the year 2020, they said to leave the royal family to live away from the media… But no, they are the ones who share everything now.
‘Meghan and Harry complain that their story is slipping away from them, that the media is scrutinizing their every move, and on the other hand, they are just fuelling the media hype.
Wales Online reported that commentators have said that Harry and Meghan’s Netflix series will see the American public turn against the couple amid their “vicious attacks on the Royal Family”.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now live in the USA and have just released a documentary about their withdrawal from Royal duties on the streaming service Netflix. The pair have said that they hope the documentary will put across “their side” of the public rift that has seeming grown between the Prince and his family.
Royal biographer Tina Brown, a former editor of US magazine Vanity Fair who lives in New York, said: “There is hardly a new thing in this three hours which I snored through. The thing that struck me the most was the great dissonance between the way they present themselves as these two people who, quote, have never told their story, when in fact they told their story to 49m people on Oprah’s show and have gone on telling it ever since.
“But their stance is as if they are two people who left the royal family and sort of went off to live in the outer hebrides without cellphones and have now come to their farmhouse gates to tell the story of how terrible it was, when in fact they left the Royal Family to go into this celebrity fest in Montecito surrounded by other celebrities and have never stopped talking to the press ever since. You can’t shut them up.”
‘I suspect the next two months – to use a psychological term – are the Sussexes’ ‘extinction burst’,” she said.
Personally, I just don’t think people like Harry and Meghan. They are two clueless elites, cashing in on Harry’s family’s name, like vultures.
We’ve sat here and watched backstabbers do that sort of nasty stuff to Trump for almost 7 years now, and enough is enough.
