There’s been a lot of talk lately about senility in Congress. It’s always been a joke that our US Congress is a “nursing home,” but that “joke” is sadly our reality now. Joe Biden looks and sounds like a nursing home patient, as does Nancy Pelosi. Although, some would argue she’s more a “Betty Ford Clinic” type, if you catch my drift. One politician who is popping up on the “senile radar” a lot lately is Jerry Nadler, who never looks like he’s “healthy.”
Nadler and Carolyn Maloney are currently battling it out in a primary after redistricting turned their two districts into one, and there are now some rather shocking claims coming from her camp. They’re saying Nalder looks “half dead,” and that he’s even lost consciousness on the campaign trail.
Radar Online reported that although the two New York Democratic representatives are longtime colleagues, their battle to stay in Congress has led to some harsh comments – particularly by Maloney who has also claimed Nadler is “half dead” and “senile,” although both candidates are in their mid-70s.
According to CNN, Maloney has also allegedly suggested the 75-year-old congressman won’t be in well enough physical and mental shape to complete another term should the election be called in his favor Tuesday night.
Others associated with Maloney’s campaign have claimed Nadler “lost consciousness” during a campaign stop in Manhattan last week. Nadler’s team rebuked the rumor and claimed he actually “tripped on a subway grate.”
Maloney has also pushed voters in the new district to read one particular New York Post article calling Nadler “senile” and questioning his mental faculties – although the 76-year-old congresswoman refused to comment further about her many contentious claims against Nadler.
“It’s obviously not true that I’m half dead, it’s obviously not true that I’m senile,” Nadler responded to Maloney’s remarks against him. “But I’m not going to comment on other campaigns. Let them flail away.”
Nadler added, “Of course it’s disappointing, but people do a lot of things in campaigns.”
But, Maloney may not be far off. After all, during the primary debate, Nadler referred to President Trump as “Bush” twice.

These people are just too old, and too out of it, on BOTH sides of the aisle. They would have been forced to retire a DECADE or more ago, in a public sector job. But we’re allowing these confused goofs to stay in positions that literally impact our lives… why are we doing this to ourselves?
